Warehouse & Co came about in 1995 as the final members of the Osaka 5, the collective responsible for driving the vintage and selvedge denim boom of the 1990s. Founded by former Evisu and Full Count employees, the twin brothers Kenji and Kenichi Shiotani, Warehouse is known for their meticulous detail and considered construction.
Half sweatshirt half cardigan, this Sweat Jacket is made under Warehouse & Co's "Dubbleworks" label. They feature a seven button front closure up to a traditional shirt collar, along with two pockets along the hem. The Sweat Jacket also features a more traditional sweatshirt style hem and cuffs.
Produced entirely on vintage machines, loopwheels are knit very, very slowly. The machines that produce our loopwheel fabric can knit about a half roll of fabric in a day, humming along at just 1 meter per hour. In comparison, a modern knitting machine can blast out about five full rolls a day, operating at roughly 10 times the speed of a loopwheeler. These are made in Wakayama Japan, home to some of the only loopwheel machines still at it.
